Phyllida is an experienced teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French and Italian) and Voice. As Development Officer of the Voice Care Network UK, she designs and delivers training in Voice Care and Development to professional voice users nationally. As well as numerous Schools, Universities and Local Authorities, her clients include Call Centre staff of NHS Direct, Immigration Officers of UK Border Agency, and BBC Respeakers. Improving pronunciation for non-native speakers of English is a growing part of her remit. The promotion of vocal health, together with a passion for developing a speaker’s clarity and confidence in their communication is the foundation of her work. She is tutor in Phonetics at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
